Computer Literacy

Classes Completed:

CAGD 110 - Computer Assisted Art I: This course provides an introduction to computer graphics and art. Students use the computer as a tool for creating static and animated images. Basic instruction in design and color relationships is provided. The writing component may include research reports from current graphics publications and/or attendance and discussion of art exhibitions.

ARTI 232 - Graphics II: Digital Visual Communication: Intro to AutoCAD, basic floor plans, elevations, sections, and details required in residential field. Intro to design development and presentations.

ARTI 333 - Graphics III: Building Information Modeling: Expands BMI skills to include residential and commercial design projects and the use of features such as building construction, multi-levels, curtain walls, and store fronts. Expand use of BMI by using advanced program features to implement commercial design.

RHPM 420 - Budgeting and Finance in RHPM: Management approaches to budget and finance in recreation, hospitality, and park agencies and businesses; spread sheet skills; budget preparations, forecasting, accounting techniques, pricing, financial analysis, and capital acquisition. Review of revenue sources, and capital funding.

Professional Experience:

Involvement Coordinator - Associated Students of California State University, Chico: As an involvement coordinator I had many responsibilities that were to be completed using a computer. I gained many valuable computer skills through this position. These skills include proficiency in: Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Gmail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, BOX, Asana, and Canva.

Student Event Programmer - Associated Students of California State University, Chico: As a student event programmer I am responsible for completing many tasks that require the use of a computer. These tasks have taught me many great computer literacy skills that I can take into my future career. These skills include proficiency in: Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Gmail, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, BOX, Asana, and Canva.
